HUGE EDIT!
I guess this is the final version =P

oh holy lord this one was hard...
I had great expectations for this piece and I really worked hard on it, but in the end I felt very disappointed with the finished thing, I kinda don't like it. I can't find anything wrong with it and it may be one of my best works in technical aspects but I just don't really like it. The feedback wasn't like what I was expecting and that made me despise the piece even more. It took me almost 3 days straight working, blending, reworking, changing stocks, blending, drawing, changing stocks again and repeating the process a hundred times and in the end, it feels just "ok" to me. That's just awful...

it's about a future where humans, aliens and androids coexist in a strict social pyramid and most forms of "unhealthy" entertainment were banned. Strict morals are enforced in violent ways by the forces of the central government. People are controled in every way possible, even inside their minds. There's the regular police that keeps tabs on people's actions and the "Brain Police", as it is called, which is responsible for checking people's thoughts, memories and wishes, and may intervere when someone commits a moral misconduct in their head.

From synapse and memory modifiers (humans and aliens) to hacks (androids), the underworld always tried to find ways to avoid the prohibition and deceive both police forces. The alley represented is one of the few underground spots where people can find every kind of "unhealthy" entertainment, from sex to gambling, drinking, partying and all the other good stuff deemed illegal.

As Orwellian as it can be xP

it was inspired by Blade Runner, Fifth Element, 1984 (of course), Equilibrium, Matrix, Bioshock (yea Bioshock again), Mass Effect and even Killzone

The darkness of this picture in general gives of a sense of decay and sadness for this picture. This is a good use of lighting to reflect mood. I reaaallly like that. It's a technique rarely used. You pull it off extremely well in this piece.

The texture and feel to the creatures makes them seem very believable even though they are creative and very imaginative in their own right. The blue light of the entrance door is a brilliant contrast to the reddish brown light from the alley. Not many people can pull off such contrasts in light in the same picture. I applaud you for that too.

The perspective is brilliant. It makes the creatures seem extremely small in comparison which I think likes to that whole theme of decay/sadness/insignificance I mentioned before.

This is one good piece. I can definitely understand why you want it to have more attention. It deserves it.
