it's really a great greaaaat honor!

Heyo!
It's been a long time, sorry for that, I was travelling and had no means of creating anything =P

now I'm back!

CONCEPT!
"Sultan Jahrin Al-Zafar, millenial ruler of the resplendent lands of Jahai, holder of the seven keys to heaven, lord of all land, sky and sea, built his empire up from the scorching sands of the Great Desert Makuun. He turned dust into gold, fire into water and death into life, plants rose on his footsteps, rivers flown from his eyes and earth was shaped at his will. But beneath the glory of the thousand-year old empire, the golden cities, the uncountable military victories and infinite riches, lies a dark story.

Zafar was a soldier who was wounded in a battle that took place almost one-thousand years ago, abandoned by his army and people, he strived for weeks in the desert, he was ready for his harsh fate when all of a sudden he had a vision. It was a masked creature with four dark wings, a giant red scythe and shadows in form of tentacles coming out of it's red shining robe. It was Azralin, "The Anger", a Djinn. The evil genie offered Zafar three wishes, Zafar wished eternal youth, eternal riches and infinite power, the djinn granted the wounded soldier what he wished for, cured his injuries and vanished like dust. Zafar then commanded the forces of nature and raised his palace from the very ground he stood on, the glorious empire ensued.

Now, exactly a thousand years later, the evil and treacherous Djinn suddenly appeared before the Sultan to settle the old debt."

it was inspired by 1001 Nights, Pre-Islamic Mythology, Disney Movies, Guild Wars: Nightfall and lots of other stuff

The Wishes Of Sultan Zafar by *Borruen just blew me away: I've seen flying islands a lot, but this new take with the amazing lighting and the stunning perspective as well as the intricate designs had me staring for quite some time. ( Suggested by capricordestin and Featured by kuschelirmel )

I'm not usually a big fan of photo-manipulation. Most of the ones I run across have numerous inconsistencies in lighting and shading. This piece, however, is extraordinary. What is impressive to me is not only the skill involved in piecing together the stocks - but the vast number of them. Certainly great care was needed to combine all of them in such a way the light and shading stayed consistent. The efforts certainly paid off here.

The degree of attention to detail is amazing. Nothing looks left out, and the scene has a very realistic tone. Every time I look at this I see something new - from the tiny flowers by the water to the birds to the people on the bridge. For lack of better phrasing, you have done a great job suggesting such a place could really be.

The background story is great, and well worth the quick read. Great concept and overall amazing work.
